Please note this is a training event designed to introduce athletes to adventure racing. Participate completely at your own risk!
Adventure racing is typically a multidisciplinary team sport involving navigation over an unmarked wilderness course with races extending anywhere from two hours up to two weeks in length. The principal disciplines in adventure racing include trekking, mountain biking, and paddling although races can incorporate a multitude of other disciplines.

TRAINING Event OPTIONS

8km Orienteering
R80 - Venue & printing of maps
A compass is required, maps will be provided at the start. Unlike a trail run there is no marked course. The main objective is to learn navigational skills.

8Km Orienteering + 30km MTB + Canyon
R130 - Venue, license & printing of maps
A compass is required. You are encouraged to team up. Maps will be provided at the start. The MTB route is lumpy, and you could get wet when canyoning.
GEAR REQUIRED
- A Compass (If navigating)
- Trail Running Shoes (Shoes could get wet)
- MTB (With a map board – If possible)
- Sufficient Hydration & Nutrition (For up to 4hours)
- A change of clothes
- A big smile and taste for adventure!

HOSTED AT ENTLE PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
Entle Private Game Reserve is nestled in the Elands River Valley between the Cockscoombe and Winterhoek Mountains. It is a pristine 480 Hectare Reserve situated less than 45 minutes drive from the city of Port Elizabeth, and on the Elands River Road.
